In good hands

I had the great privilege to collaborate with Aēsop for the launch of their new hand balm, Eleos Aromatique. I created a series of custom illustrations, inspired by Pop Art and the distinctive Ben Day dots of Roy Lichtenstein. These illustrations were scaled up and hand-painted with custom-tinted enamel paint at seven Aēsop locations in Toronto and New York City.

  • Some fun stats about the project:
  • 2 Toronto locations (Queen Street West, Eaton Centre)
  • 5 NYC locations (NOMAD, Upper West Side, Madison Avenue, Park Slope, Williamsburg)
  • 19 window panes
  • 21 hand illustrations
  • Approx. 80 hours of painting
  • Approx. 5000 inverted Ben Day dots
  • One brush!

A huge thanks Aēsop for making this project come to life, and to all of the amazing folks who made me feel comfortable at each store. You can check out the installations until the end of June in Toronto and NYC.
